Who are Positively Parkinson’s and what do they do?

Positively Parkinson’s is a registered charity established to help people affected by Parkinson’s, and similar neurological conditions, to live life after diagnosis with a positive mindset.

Is it life threatening?

Being diagnosed can be life changing. BUT ’s not a death sentence, it is a hurdle that can be overcome. 

Why me?

Think of your life as a journey. You can’t change the past, but you can change the future and live in the here and now. Be grateful for what you have, the support and the importance of family, real’ friends and the kinship of people who share your condition.

What are the symptoms?

Every person’s Parkinson’s symptoms is unique to them. Parkinson’s is rather like an Iceberg!  Above the surface – Physical/Motor – includes tremor, muscle stiffness, slowness, stiffness, walking, balance problems. Below the surface – Mental/Cognitive – includes depression, apathy, memory, anxiety.
