Hike – Fundraising walk up Snowdonia – September 2023

Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is Wales’s highest mountain which dominates the skyline of North West Wales. To conquer this 1,085 metre (3,560 feet) peak is on many people’s bucket list, so why not hike it for charity? It was apt therefore that Hike Snowdon was the finale of Positively Parkinson’s Big Tri 3 for 2013 Challenge, encompassing challenges for Swim, Bike and Hike whilst raising funds for charity.

We are so grateful to all our supporters, friends and families and we wanted to give them the opportunity to join us for this final event of the year. The aim was to inspire others, to have a positive mindset to get out and walk to finish on a literal high. Over twenty two joined the Positively Parkinson’s walk to the top, including four with Parkinson’s, to raise funds for Cure Parkinson’s

We had hoped for it to be a nice day for a stroll, but it turned out to be a very very wet one. If you jumped in the lake you probably would not have been any wetter than those brave souls hiking up to the summit. The walkers were a true inspiration of positivity and with special thanks to Stroll the climb to the summit was captured on video.
